Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) assists the university community in providing and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for students, faculty, staff, contractors and visitors. EHS also works to protect the local community and environment from potential hazards on campus and instills safety, health and environmental stewardship in the work they perform.

What is your official job title at EHS and a general description of your job duties?
Laboratory compliance officer. I ensure that research laboratories are establishing safe working environments and maintain regulatory compliance.

Why did you decide on a career in health and safety?
I majored in Environmental Health in college, so to work in Health and Safety was right up my alley. I love that I am able to use my degree and gain even more experience in the field.
What is your favorite thing about Ohio State?
My favorite thing about Ohio State is the ability to continue to learn. Learning with new experiences and absorbing the knowledge from other members of the great team.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
My favorite thing to be outside and enjoying time with friend and family.
