Do you enjoy helping others and promoting a positive safety culture at Ohio State?
Join the Laboratory Manager Mentoring program and help connect new lab managers with experts in the field who have experience in overseeing laboratory operations and safety management. The program matches prospective lab manager mentees with lab manager mentors who may work in the same department or building or who may have similar lab environments or research interests.

Dean's List - 3rd, 4th Quarter 2022
Each year, EHS conducts a laboratory safety site visit of all campus research laboratories using hazardous chemicals and biological materials. The site visit focuses on appropriate facilities, protocols that minimize risks, and properly trained competent personnel. Achieving compliance is not a matter of chance but a matter of choice!

Director, Environmental Affairs. I manage the university’s environmental compliance program. This includes ensuring compliance with applicable air, water, waste, and hazardous materials regulations.

Review Potential Exposures and Injury Response
Do you know where to seek medical treatment if you have a potential exposure or an injury in the laboratory? Where you seek treatment for all non-life threatening potential exposures or injuries is dependent upon your employment status at Ohio State. EHS has created a Potential Exposure and Injury Response flow chart to help assist laboratories with where to go.
