What is your official job title at EHS and a general description of your job duties?
My official job title here at EHS is an OSHA Program Specialist! A general description of my job includes working and overseeing all aspects of compliance mainly regarding the Hearing Conservation Program and the Respiratory Protection Program.
When did you begin working for OSU?
I officially started working for Ohio State the first week of July 2022.
How long have you been with EHS?
I have only been with EHS since July 2022, so there is plenty to learn!
Why did you decide on a career in health and safety?
During my time at The University of Alabama I learned about the impact of what health and safety has on the community. How far effective communication can take you, and the personal relationships that can build connections and trust in a variety of areas. I knew that pursuing a degree in health can lead me to reach new heights in leadership and to even learn more about myself and the career along the way.
What is your favorite thing about OSU?
My favorite thing about Ohio State is the amount of pride that it`s workers, students, and even faculty and staff have here. Whether it`s through their work, research, or their school pride I can tell it`s an environment I know I can thrive in.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I always enjoy being with my friends and family, spending time with my dog Finn, working out, and even reading. Clearly, hopping from Alabama to Ohio State I am a huge fan of athletics so I find myself going to a lot football games, which I heard is pretty good here.
What is your favorite: quote, TV show, movie, or book?
While I have too many to choose from, I have to say How to Lose a Guy in Ten days with Matthew McConaughy has to be my favorite.
